Volunteer Roles

Help with check-in, vendor setup, sauce sampling stations, trash and recycling, and event flow. No task is too small—every role makes a difference!

Free Shirt + Purpose
Every volunteer gets a commemorative Getting Saucy T-shirt, water, and a thank-you gift from Arc of the Low Country.

Volunteer Categories for Getting Saucy 2

Setup Crew
Help set up tents, tables, signage, and stations before the event starts. Early shift.

Check-In Team
Greet guests, scan tickets, give wristbands or programs, and answer arrival questions.

Vendor Support
Assist vendors with finding their space, unloading supplies, and getting settled.

Competition Support
Help coordinate sauce sampling, judging logistics, and table restocks (cups, napkins, etc.).

Volunteer HQ + Floaters
Check in other volunteers, distribute shirts/water, and step in where needed.

Clean Team
Monitor trash and recycling areas, keeping the grounds neat throughout the event.

Kids & Family Zone Crew
If there's a family section, volunteers can run games, crafts, or crowd guidance.

Breakdown Crew
End-of-day volunteers who help with cleanup, packing up supplies, and teardown.
