Join Us for Getting Saucy 2 – South Carolina’s Premier BBQ Sauce Competition
In Fall 2022, The Arc of the Low Country (ALC), a Charleston-based nonprofit serving individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, launched South Carolina’s first-ever barbecue sauce competition focused exclusively on the sauce. With 21 small-batch sauce vendors and over 450 attendees, the inaugural Getting Saucy event crowned Nate's BBQ Sauce as Grand Champion.
Your contribution helps support our Family Financial Management Program, which educates family members and caregivers on planning for the time when they can no longer care for their differently abled loved ones. It also supports our Equestrian Therapy Project, where we’ve partnered with an adult day center to train their clients in consent-based personal interactions, as well as our research into potential housing models that allow differently abled individuals to live in the community in the least restrictive environment.
